It should be 'The Last Wish' -> 'The Sword of Destiny' -> 'Blood of Elves'. But the english publisher left - for some unknown reason - 'Sword of Destiny' out. 'Blood of Elves' is the third book in the Witcher series, or in other words the first novel in the series, because 'Sword of Destiny' is another collection of short-stories. It introduces a VERY important character, though, which makes the leaving out this book a VERY stupid decision.

PuckAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3991760003960066476.post-64091450017691289182009-04-19T01:12:00.000+03:002009-04-19T01:12:00.000+03:00I can't wait to hear your thoughts on "The Absence...I can't wait to hear your thoughts on "The Absence!"Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15126093513818104194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3991760003960066476.post-23886048631646109382009-04-18T23:47:00.000+03:002009-04-18T23:47:00.000+03:00I would be interested in seeing what you think abo...I would be interested in seeing what you think about Blood of Elves.Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13367342277757437200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3991760003960066476.post-66796411209474782282009-04-18T23:16:00.000+03:002009-04-18T23:16:00.000+03:00blood of elves definatly!blood of elves definatly!Adelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12876050775872445521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3991760003960066476.post-91210104495831759822009-04-18T22:32:00.000+03:002009-04-18T22:32:00.000+03:00What a choice!
I vote for Nights of Villjamur.
I ...What a choice!
I vote for Nights of Villjamur.

I read The Way of Shadows and liked it. My copy of The Red Wolf Conspiracy should be delivered by end of April. I have some difficulties with Blood Elves. Not with the story more with the release of the books in different languages and countries. When Blood Elves is the second book of the WITCHER series then I own the German edition - title Das Schwert der Vorsehung. That means translated to English The Sword of Destiny. I don't know why publishers try to confuse readers in different countries.ediFanoBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11129248787624088717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3991760003960066476.post-30006872269743569472009-04-18T21:04:00.000+03:002009-04-18T21:04:00.000+03:00I think you should read "Dog Days" by John Levitt....I think you should read "Dog Days" by John Levitt...

Oh wait. On the other hand, they left out a book between 'The Last Wish' and 'Blood of Elves' in the english translation. So the story will probably make no sense. Just wanted to say it.
