Black Gate, a new source of online fiction

I had the chance to read three or four issues of Black Gate Magazine, but as much as I liked the fiction published in the magazine I was unable to collect all the Black Gate issues due to expensive shipping costs. It is true that there is the alternative of electronic copies, but the PDF format is not the most comfortable for Kindle. If I can get the desired Black Gate collection in one form or other remains to be seen, what it is certain at the moment is that Black Gate started to publish fiction online from September, 30th  and will continue to do so every Sunday. Black Gate will publish original fiction in various forms, short stories, novellas or novel excerpts, from some of its older contributors, as well as many of the best genre writers along the new authors. The starting list for the Black Gate online fiction is:

“The Duelist” by Jason E. Thummel
“The Quintessence of Absence” by Sean McLachlan
“A Phoenix in Darkness” by Donald S. Crankshaw
“Queen of Thorns” by Dave Gross (novel excerpt)
“The Black Fire Concerto” by Mike Allen (novel excerpt)
“Godmother Lizard” by C.S.E. Cooney
“Bones of the Old Ones” Howard Andrew Jones (novel excerpt)

“The Duelist”, Jason E. Thummel’s fast-paced tale of action in a violent city in which a master swordsman finds himself caught in a web of deceit and intrigue, is already posted. From my experience with Black Gate so far I am certain that we will have on hand another excellent online source for interesting speculative fiction.
